Easter morn

Terror and chaos on Easter morn,

Sri Lanka's peaceful skies were torn. Innocent lives, shattered and lost, Amidst the rubble and deadly cost.

Families broken, hearts left numb, Senseless violence, why must it come? The joy of Easter turned to sorrow, As the bombs rained down with no tomorrow.

The bloodshed stained the holy day, And the world wept in disarray. Oh, Sri Lanka, how could this be? Such heinous acts we cannot unsee.

Let us remember those who fell, Their stories and memories we must tell. But we must also stand up and fight, Against the darkness that stole their light.

We must seek justice and peace, So that their deaths will not be in vain, we must increase Our love and compassion to heal, And let Easter's hope and spirit reveal.
